Elska is the narrator of cinematic lullabies and the creation of Kansas City-Based composers Laura Boland and Alex Alexander.  Together, they create introspective Chamber Dream Pop. Their songs dance through the dark corridors of our yesterdays; excavating memories and uniting us with our shadows to uncover a reverberating love inside our heart’s distorted beats. Evocative and disjointed orchestrations, ghostly soundscapes, and nostalgic synth textures decorate a dusty terrain and accompany ethereal vocal melodies. 

Elska’s broken doll vignettes invite us to explore the human condition in the context of an ever-changing environment.

Hello and thank you for taking the time to read this and listen. We are happy to present Dancing Alone to you. This collection was composed by Laura in the midst of moving from Brooklyn to Kansas City in 2021: As I found myself discovering another new identity and landscape, I happened upon a profound beauty and lightness in my heart that will forever be cradled by a perpetual melancholy. I’ve grown to adore this feeling. These songs ultimately tie together the complexities and explorations of "home."
